Description...Welcome to my auction! For your consideration is presented a large superb antique Chinese soapstone carving in a rich coloration of rust, tan and a bit of celadon having an impressive surface patina. This carving was produced in China sometime around the turn of the century C1900 most likely for the export market. The details are extremely nice with the subject matter showing three staggered well hollowed vases to the back with the entire front being densely carved and pierced in a skilled openwork technique consisting of birds, flowers in bloom as well as buds, stems and leaves along with several footed pots with rockery to the bottom. The carving has great depth from front to back and is a robust piece standing 7" High x 8" Long x 5" Deep and would make a great center piece for the collection.
Origin...China
Age .....C1900
Material...Soapstone
Sizes...L 8" x D 5" x H 7" Weighs approximately 6lbs
Condition....Overall condition is excellent with no noticeable chips, cracks, repairs or restorations and the only thing I could see there is a area to the very front right bottom that at first appears to be a loss, however it is original to the piece with tool marks present. A very attractive early soapstone carving with great eye appeal priced reasonably.
Domestic Shipping: Will be shipped USPS Priority Mail
****International Shipping****Use 'Buy It Now' feature and your order will ship through eBay's Global Shipping Program
